Stringy spiderwebs

Make your own glow-in-the-dark spiderwebs and string them up on Halloween.

What you'll need

  • Metric stick
  • Ball of thick white wool
  • White household glue
  • Water
  • Old platic bowl or other container
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint
  • Waxed paper

How to do it...

1. Spread waxed paper over your work surface.

For each web, cut three peices of wool 60cm long and one peice 1.8m long.

3. In a bowl, mix one tablespoon of glue with one tablespoon of water.

4. Soak the shorter pieces of wool in the glue mixture and arrange them like spokes on the waxed paper.

5. Soak the longer pieces of wool in the glue mixture and spiral it out from the centre of the spokes in a web pattern.

6. Let the web dry. Paint it with glow-in-the-dark paint.

7. After the paint dries, turn the paper over and carefully peel it off the web.

8. Hang the web anywhere you like.
