Grow a herb garden

You will need:

  • Small herb plants such as thyme, basil and rosemary
  • Sandwich bag full of small stones
  • Potting soil
  • Trowel or large spoon
  • Gardening gloves
  • Large flower pot

What to do…

  1. Cover the bottom of the flowerpot with stones for drainage.
  2. Fill the pot part way with soil.
  3. Carefully remove plants from their containers and position them in the larger pot, leaving some space between each plant.
  4. Water until the soil is damp, then place the flowerpot in a sunny spot.
  5. Water the herbs when the soil dries out — about once a week. Then watch your garden grow.
  6. Remember to label each herb so you know which is which!
