MAKE! An amazing rainstick!

Rainsticks were invented by tribes in Chile who believed that playing them would bring rain. Why not make one and see if it works?!

1 Put a piece of paper over one end of the tube and secure it with sticky tape.

2 Now, cut five strips, about 2cm by 10cm, out of the cardboard.

3 Next, fold the strips into zig-zag shapes and push them inside the tube.

4 Then sprinkle the dried rice and seeds into the open end of the tube.

5 Now, seal the other end of the tube with paper and sticky tape. Finally, paint a funky design on the tube and you’re ready to make rain music!
