MAKE! A spooky mummy!

This fearsome figure is seriously spooky!

What you'll need

  • Scissors
  • Black duct tape
  • Glue
  • Adult-size outfit of old clothes: trousers, long-sleeve shirt, gloves, sneakers
  • Lots of crumpled newspaper for stuffing
  • Safety pins
  • 2 full-size white sheets cut into long strips
  • Wooden paint stirrer
  • 4L size plastic milk jug
  • Black construction paper

    • How to do it...

    Head

    Stuff the trousers and shirt. Tuck the shirt inside the trousers and pin in place.

    Wrapping

    Wind the sheet strips around the body until it's covered, tying knots to string the strips together.

    Head

    Turn the milk jug upside down with the handle facing the back. Place a paint stirrer halfway into the jug. Push the other half into the stuffing at the neck. Wrap the jug.

    Hands and feet

    Sit the mummy in a chair, then place the trouser legs inside the shoes and wrap the feet. Place the sleeves inside the stuffed gloves and wrap the hands.

    Eyes

    Cut eyes out of construction paper and glue to the head.
