Make a snow globe!
Shake it up with this glittering snow globe…
What you’ll need
- Small jar with lid
- Plastic animal or toy (make sure it fits in the jar)
- Instant bonding glue and brush
- Sandpaper
- Baby oil
- One teaspoon of white glitter
- Ribbon
How to do it...
1 Turn the jar’s lid upside down and use the sandpaper to scuff the inside of it.
2 Brush glue on to the bottom of the animal or toy and stick it to the centre of the lid, then leave it to dry.
3 Now, fill the jar with the baby oil and then add the white glitter (the ‘snow’).
4 To prevent leaks, seal your globe by brushing some glue around the rim of the jar, then screw the lid on tightly. Now leave the jar to dry.
5 You can decorate your jar with some festive ribbon if you like. Then turn your globe over and watch it snow – what a cool Christmas gift!
Top tip!
Use nail polish remover to get rid of any glue or paper still stuck on the jar.
