During the summer, I went on holiday to Dorset and at one of the beaches there (Charmouth Beach), I went on an interesting fossil walk! We were given a talk about the kinds of fossils that we could find on the beach and then were allowed to roam around in a certain area looking for these fossils. The fossils we found are 195 MILLION years old! The fossils were called belemnites and ammonites (there were lots of different types of ammonite such as beef rock ammonite, crystal ammonite and fool's gold ammonite). How cool is that?!
