For National Geographic Kids, I went to check out Chad Valley World of Imagination and there were lots of cool interactive things to do, including climbing on giant chairs and riding dinosaurs! I also interviewed Alex T. Smith, a Children's Author and Illustrator. He said that he got his inspiration from his grandad as he was also a writer and used to leave him stories. He always loved drawing, but when he was four he wanted to be a chef - or a rabbit! His advice on becoming an author is to read all the time, as the more you read the more you will feed your imagination. If you want to be an illustrator, simply draw and don't worry about whether it's right or wrong - just have fun!
