Terrapin getaway!
This tiny European pond terrapin is one of 20 of its kind released into the wild after being bred for a conservation project in Germany. Although not under immediate threat of extinction, the terrapin's wetland habitat is under threat leading to a decline in numbers. The water-loving reptiles are to find a new home in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature reserve where the species is native.
