Roald Dahl Day

 

Are you a Roald Dahl fan? Or maybe just looking for a brilliant day out with your family, filled with storytelling, face-painting and other fun activities? Kids' author Roald Dahl created some of the best-loved characters ever, including Willy Wonka, Matilda and The BFG. Now in its sixth year, Roald Dahl Day on 13 September celebrates the imagination of this brilliant British writer – and you can take part, too!

Why not join in the Roald Dahl Reading Relay or the Road Dahl City Read? Maybe you could even dress up as your favorite Roald Dahl character and go to the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Buckinghamshire for a dahl-ightful day out! There will
be lots of fun face-painting and tours of the places where Roald himself used to write
and live.
 
So, even if you haven’t read any of his brilliant books (yet!), you can still go and have lots of fun, and find out about all of his amazing characters!
