Star Chat: Into The Woods!

In the mood for some magical fun? Then the musical Into the Woods is just what you're looking for! When a witch puts a curse on a baker and his wife, the spell can only be broken using special items from classic fairy tales - including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel! To get the lowdown, we caught up with Daniel Huttlestone who plays the character Jack in this mega movie! Check out what he had to say...

National Geographic Kids: Hi Daniel! What was it like working with such a big animal as Milky White? Our animal expert thinks cows are scarier than sharks - were you frightened at all? Was he a pain?

Daniel Huttlestone: I had a great time working with the cows! In a way, cows are scarier than sharks but I wasn't scared of them. You would think that cows are cute but trust me, working with one is a whole different experience. Sometimes she had good days, sometimes not!

NGK: What was the most fun part of Into the Woods to film?
DH: The whole experience was so much fun, but the scene where my character is fighting the giant whilst in the beanstalk was definitely a highlight!

NGK: We loved that scene, too! The film is full of big stars. Who was your favourite person to work with and why, and did you get star struck?
DH: Everyone was amazing to work with. I spent most of my time with Lilla (who plays Red Riding Hood), James (who plays the Baker) and Billy (who plays Rapunzel's Prince). Of course I got a bit star struck when I met the big stars - anyone would!

NGK: The term "I wish" features heavily throughout the film. If you could wish for anything right now, what would it be?
DH: Well, I'd love to continue to work on such great film projects for the rest of my life. If I had to pick a wish though, it would be to train with the Chelsea football team. That would be great!

NGK: We agree, it would! So do you like spending time outdoors then? If so, tell us what your favourite outdoor activity is - do you like exploring the woods and nature, or are you more of a city boy?
DH: I love the outdoors! I like the city as well, but I'm really into sports like football and tennis, so I'm always outside!

NGK: Thanks for answering our questions, Daniel!

I saw into the woods at the cinema, it's so cool.
Cows form close friendships - but they may also hold grudges for years.
