Help the Bushmen!

Kalahari Bushmen

If you've read the Culture Trek about the Kalahari Bushmen in this month's NG Kids magazine then you'll know that these indigenous African people need your help, and here's how to do it...

After being forced to move away from their ancestral home, the Bushmen fought against the Botswana Government and won the right to return. But the government has refused to let them use a borehole which is their only access to water, and it's also said that the Bushmen are not allowed to hunt for food.

The Magic of the Kalahari
There are four hills in the Kalahari which are very special to the Bushmen. The Bushmen have created amazing rock paintings on the walls. But you better tread gently because it's said that whenever famous explorers have disrespected the hills, the spirits have made bad things happen to them. They only stopped when the explorers wrote apology letters to the hills. Woo!
