Make Kroo Bay lemonade

NG Kids and Save The Children need your help to make a difference to the lives of young people living in Kroo Bay, Sierra Leone, in West Africa.

Check out the lastest video clip to see what life is like for the kids in Kroo Bay in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Want to make a difference for the Kroo Bay community? Then why not try out this cool recipe for real lemonade. It's sure to sell by the bucket load

What you'll need:
  • Five lemons
  • Five cups of cold water
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • Ice cubes
  • Strainer
  • Jug
  • Glasses

What to do:

  1. Squeeze the juice from the five fresh lemons and pour it through the strainer into a jug.
  2. Dissolve the sugar into a cup of hot water and add it to the lemon juice.
  3. Next, pour in five cups of cold water and stir. You may need to add more water if your lemons are particularly juicy!
  4. Add the ice cubes and you could add some slices of lemon for decoration. Now put out your stall and start raising some money for the kids in Kroo Bay. Good luck!

There are lots of other ways you can raise money too. You could organise a sponsored run, sell cakes or even wash cars. Whether you raise £5 or £5,000 it will all make a difference! Once you've raised as much money as you can, get an adult to write a cheque (made payable to Save the Children) and send it to us at;
