World dance champions Flawless joined us at the London Eye to practice their star jumps and launch our upcoming Let’s Jump Guinness world record attempt for the most people doing star jumps together - EVER!
Everyone knows that keeping fit can be a challenge, but it can also be fun! And that’s why we have decided to organize a world record attempt and get the entire globe jumping together!
Join us, First Lady Michelle Obama, and thousands of NG Kids readers around the globe as we try to beat the Guinness world record attempt for the most people doing star jumps when we all get jumping on the 11 October, 2011!
World dance champions, and Britains Got Talent superstars Flawless joined us on our mission and helped launch our record attempt at the London Eye. We caught up with Oddey, FX, Neo and Steady from the group to see how they enjoyed jumping around with us!
National Geographic Kids Hi Guys! Thanks for getting involved with Let’s Jump! Did you have fun?
Neo We’ve had a great day!
FX We are big fans of jumping around, haha!
NGK Why should people get involved with our Let’s Jump campaign?
Oddey Because it’s fun! And It’s massively important. We can’t become known as the ‘Computer Generation’ - spending all our time sitting indoors playing computer games. We should be out jumping around, keeping active and having fun!
Steady Even simple exercises for short amounts of time are a fantastic way of getting healthy and improving your overall wellbeing. You’ll feel so much better!
FX And you can have fun doing it by joining in with these star jumps!

NGK So, from Britain’s Got Talent, to films to star jumps! What have been your big highlights?
FX It definitely has to be Street Dance 3D - The movie! I never thought I’d be in a UK street dance movie before!
Oddey Me too! It was history in the making! Going on tour was also a massive thing for me too; it allowed all of us to really get to know our fans!
Neo I loved being in the movie too! Seeing the look on my mum, sister and nephew’s faces when they saw it in the cinema and just seeing how proud they were, was a massive achievement for me. I think having our own DVD is another highlight!
Steady I loved doing a performance at Buckingham Palace – playing for Royalty was epic!
NGK How did you guys get into dancing?
FX Obviously we’ve all been very interested in the dance scene from a very early age. We all got our big break when Swoosh (Marlon) approached us to form Flawless. Before Flawless, a lot of us already knew each other, either through school/college, or through the dance academies we attended; so it was just a case of bringing together the best of the best!
NGK Who are your favourite dancers?
Neo Our inspirations include people like Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Usher, The Electric Boogaloos and countless others; having a role-model, someone you can aspire to, is really important. It motivates you!
NGK What advice and tips do you have for our readers who love to dance?
FX Concentration, determination and hard work! Chase your dream, believe in yourself and you can achieve anything you want!
Steady Being motivated is really important too, otherwise you lose sight of your objectives.
Neo Remember to train and practice until you drop to the floor. Of course, you can only do that if you’re fit and healthy. And to achieve that, you need to eat healthily and exercise!!
