Foods from Spain National Primary School Competition Winners!
Now this is some art that’s good enough to eat! Students from St Laurence CE Primary School in Jockeyfield entered this year’s Foods from Spain National Primary Schools Competition, and won!

These talented students designed a collage on the theme of healthy eating, titled Juicy, Crunchy, Munchy, Sweet. It’s Spanish and it’s great to eat!

This clever collage of Spanish fruits and vegetables helped the school beat hundreds of entries from around the country to win first prize of £2,000 to spend on some cool, new equipment or facilities. NG Kids editor Lauren was one of the judges and loved the combination of a healthy eating message, and images of Spanish culture in the winning collage. Well done, gang!

Six collages were also chosen as winners in each of the year groups and special needs categories. This fruity competition aims to make you think about healthy eating in school, so if you have some veg-tastic ideas for a collage, why not try making your own for your classroom? Go for it, gang!
