JLS interview with Marvin, JB, Aston and Oritse
JLS stars Marvin, JB, Aston and Oritsé spill the beans about X Factor and their new dolls...
NGK Hi guys! What was it like performing on the latest X Factor?
Marvin Absolutely amazing! We never want to forget where we came from. X Factor gave birth to JLS!
Oritsé It was a bit weird though, because we're not competing anymore, but being in the studio brings back all the memories of being in the house and going through the whole crazy process!
NGK You were asked to perform last year's Children in Need single, Love You More, what was that like?!
Marvin It was an incredible honour for us. We've always been vocal about helping out with charities, and when the people at the BBC got in touch about doing the Children In Need song, we were really pleased. It's such a great cause.
Love You More was last year's Children in Need single
NG Kids We love the new JLS dolls, but is it strange seeing a mini doll version of yourself?
JB Gill It is a bit weird, but our whole lives have been a bit abnormal since the X Factor!
Marvin Humes Definitely! Our lifestyle can be pretty weird sometimes so I guess this is just one more weird thing to add to the mix!
Aston Merrygold It’s a bit strange, but it's really cool. It feels like we’ve been immortalised in plastic!
Oritsé Williams I agree, it’s weird, but great! When you think of all the other pop bands that have had dolls made; Take That, Boyzone – really successful bands, we’re in good company!
NGK Do you think your doll looks like you?
Aston They all look really realistic actually – my hair is spot on!
JB I think mine is the most realistic, but it looks very serious. I have a sense of humour – honest!
Oritsé Yes, even down to the hat!
Marvin I think they are all quite accurate. Aston’s is partularly realistic as it’s almost the same height as him!
Head to the JLS site to find out more about the band!
