Nanny Mcphee secrets!
NG Kids catches up with Eros Vlahos, to get the low down on his new DVD, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang!
NG Kids Hi Eros! So what was the best bit about starring in Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang?
Eros It was all fun but the best bits were getting to do cool stuff and learning loads! I also made some cool new friends, and there was lots of lovely food!
NGK Yum! What funny stuff happened on set?
Eros We laughed a lot on set – there were lots of funny moments when shoes got stuck in the mud! Also during a chase scene someone threw a whole bale of hay on my head. I was covered in it!

Eros had a lot of fun making the movie!
NGK How were the flying motorbike scenes filmed?
Eros It was a mixture of shots of us really driving around on the motorbike, and being towed around by a truck with a moving camera on it. Most of the flying sequence was done in front of a blue screen so the background could be added later.
NGK There are lots of cool piglets in the movie aren’t there?
Eros Yes! We had real ones on set with us most of the time, so the pigs you see us chasing and holding are real. But when the pigs do synchronised swimming and fly, they were computer generated afterwards so we had to act to things we couldn’t actually see!

Nanny Mcphee would probably run away from Eros' house!
NGK What was it like working with piglets?
Eros They were really cute, but they can make a lot of noise and wriggle around, which makes them quite difficult to hold! They look cute but I wouldn’t want one as a pet – they poo a lot!
NGK Would Nanny McPhee ever need to pay a visit to your home?!
Eros Definitely! I’m always joking around, and I have a crazy 7-year-old brother and wild little Chihuahua who spends the whole day causing trouble. If Nanny McPhee turned up she would probably run away!
NGK What do you think NG Kids readers will like most about Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang?
Eros I think they’ll like all the funny moments, and of course the piglets!
